Centre for Cities: The Green Book and Levelling Up

Architects, property developers and local planners need to better prioritise music venues and listen more closely to artists and performers when designing regeneration schemes. 

The Centre for Cities report, commissioned by Legal & General Capital and LGIM Real Assets, found that lack of government strategy, not lack of official public spending, was a barrier to meeting a national agenda for ‘levelling-up’.

The report argues that ministers must move beyond vague rhetoric and immediately put in place a strategy for what it wants to achieve.
