The UKAA (UK Apartment Association) has confirmed David Reid as the Chair of its committee for the Build to Rent (BTR) single-family housing sector.

Reid, Managing Director of Legal & General’s Suburban Build-to-Rent business has long been seen as a leading figure in the rapidly growing market for suburban build-to-rent houses and is committed to supporting the sector to deliver high-quality new houses that meet the needs of institutional investors and operators, whilst providing secure, professionally managed housing for families.

The UKAA work brings together investors and operators of single-family houses with the housebuilders who deliver them, to create mutual understanding and collaboration that can establish long-term partnerships for new home delivery that meets the needs for professionally managed homes.

The UKAA Single Family Housing committee is also driving engagement with policymakers and local authorities to improve understanding of the quality and value of suburban BTR delivery in providing high quality rental homes that meet local market needs.

The UKAA committee includes representation from the British Property Federation (BPF) and the Home Builders Federation (BPF) to drive cross-sector collaboration and provide a clear voice to government and policy makers.
