As General Counsel (Corporate and LGC), Claire is responsible for providing a full range of corporate and commercial law, governance and company secretarial services to LGC. Claire is a qualified solicitor with over 12 years’ legal and company secretarial experience and has been with Legal & General since 2011. Prior to this role, Claire was General Counsel for Legal & General Retirement and Insurance, responsible for the provision of legal and governance advice and company secretarial services to the Group’s Retirement (pension risk transfer, bulk and individual annuities), Insurance (group and individual protection and general insurance) and Savings (with profits and mature savings) businesses. Claire has also advised on general corporate and M&A matters for the Group and been seconded to the Legal & General Real Assets business. Before joining Legal & General, Claire was an associate at Jones Day, an international law firm, where Claire specialised in corporate advice, mergers and acquisitions.
